Lesson Review
Sunday was a wonderful lesson from Chapter 14 "With God All Things Are Possible" from the Lorenzo Snow manual.

The lesson focused on the concept of grace and grace as an "enabling power." A list was written on the board: overcome our weaknesses, coping with our trials, magnifying our callings, perfecting ourselves, enduring to the end and gaining exaltation. We were asked what one thing was required to be successful with these items. The answer: We need divine assistance from Heavenly Father to do these things fully; he has made this assistance possible through the atonement (and grace).

Quotes focused on during the lesson:

"We, as Latter-day Saints, should understand and bear in mind that salvation comes through the grace of God. He testified that God will add His strength to our efforts: 'Where the Lord plants us, there we are to stand; when he requires us to exert ourselves for the support of these holy principles, that we are to do; that is all we need to trouble ourselves about; the rest our Heavenly Father will take of.'" (TPC: Lorenzo Snow, pg. 175)

God has promised to help us in our personal efforts to live the gospel

"No man or woman should be discouraged when they feel that they cannot complete what they would like to perform, but we all should do what we can toward carrying out the grand work for which we are here." (TPC: Lorenzo Snow, pg. 178)
